Hailing fron Lynchburg, Virginia, Papa Groove is a high energy five piece band that will get the party grooving to the sounds of Motown, Soul, R&B, Funk and Classic rock. Pulling off some of the smoothest vocal harmonies around is our strongest assest. Consisting of Guitar, Bass, Keyboards, Drums and one Great Lead Singer, the sound is full and sweet.

Lead singer, Mel Jackson, puts the JUMP-N-BUMP in Papa Groove!! She has the talent and great looks to wow any crowd. To hear her sing is a truly spiritual experience!! Mel adds a little something different to the Groove experience....Excitement!!

Lead Guitarist, Billy Worley, provides the musical direction for the band. Billy has been playing in some of the best road bands on the east coast for nearly 3 decades. He is equally proficient on guitar and keyboards. His vocal style is best summed up as old school soul. Also a great song writer, He has recently had one of his songs recorded by a top gospel artist.

Keyboardist, Danny Hale, is a classically trained pianist. He too has played and toured with some of the greatest east coast bands. His vocal style is deep and smooth and he holds down all our sweet ballads.

Drummer, Fredrick Jackson, is the King of Kool when it comes to providing the rock steady drum grooves. His style evolves form years polishing his craft with Gospel greats from the centeral Virginia area. This man knows how to Groove!!

Bassist, Ken Harris is one groovie low ender. With his custom Keith Roscoe 3005 and SWR gear, a thick and heavy groove seals the deal with this band. His vocals are strong and along with the soul, He does most of our classic rock.
